About the Confluence Chamber Orchestra

DSCN0376-2a

We’re a multi-generational amateur string orchestra, a confluence of ages, backgrounds and abilities.  Artistic Director William Bauer selects and arranges interesting music that encourages players of all ages to enjoy learning and performing.  Instead of having auditions, we let prospective members try us out.

Since 2005, CCO has presented free concerts at museums, libraries and other community institutions throughout the St. Louis area.  By performing music that relates specific audiences to current exhibits and programs, we broaden and diversify cultural experience and make it more accessible.  We also help to raise awareness of the arts at a time when resources are limited.

Donations and grants make it possible for us to recruit talented students and to offer scholarships for their private lessons.  This benefits families, supports music teachers, and adds youthful energy to the orchestra.
