We’re a multi-generational amateur string orchestra, a confluence of ages, backgrounds and abilities. Artistic Director William Bauer creates programs with interesting music that encourages all of us to enjoy learning and performing. All our concerts are free and open to the public.
Since 2005, CCO has worked with the museums, libraries and community institutions to present free educational concerts in the St. Louis area. Each program is designed to complement a current exhibit or program to enrich the cultural experience for a specific audience.
Donations and grants make it possible for us to recruit talented students and to offer scholarships for their private lessons.
